Welcome to The Trauma & Anxiety Center
of the Tampa Bay Area.

You have taken the first step towards empowerment in your life by wanting to make a change! I have been where you are right now.
I have experienced anxiety and irrational thoughts. I can totally relate to what you are going through. I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s Syndrome, an autoimmune disorder that mimics depression and bipolar.

For a while, I never wanted to leave my house, get out of bed and found it difficult to face the day. I was able to overcome so many things and so can you. I always encourage my clients to get a medical check-up prior to mental health treatment to rule out any physical health symptoms.

I have spent years working with individuals who have severe trauma, anxiety, depression and other illnesses and helping them overcome what they are struggling with. I use EMDR, CBT, SBT and other treatment modalities to help meet clients where they are in treatment and move forward with their lives. Most of the trauma individuals experience is from childhood, bad relationships, war, domestic violence, and sexual abuse.

I use CBT, TFCBT, EMDR, ACT, Gottman Couples Method, Narrative therapy, and interpersonal therapy to help treat your symptoms.

I specifically use EMDR for trauma. I also use Biosound to treat the physiological symptoms of trauma, ptsd, anxiety, fear, ocd, pain, cravings, eating disorders, and much more.  I have found the when using Biosound in conjunction with EMDR, the symptoms greatly reduce and people are less likely to be triggered.

Another passion is working with couples. I use the Gottman Method, Narrative, and Pact to rebuild relationships, learn to communicate better, find love and passion, and form rituals of connection. It isn’t easy work and you must be committed to the therapy. I help couples navigate infidelity (emotional and physical), growing apart, childhood problems that are destroying their relationships, learning love language, making time together through check-ins, and understanding the person you married. We forget or get used to a way of living and do not remember the strengths and common denominators that caused the two of you to fall in love. I use exercises to achieve this and couples must be present together at each session.

I have also helped individuals be accountable for their life and working towards goals as a life coach. It is my passion and life’s work to help people. Thank you for being here!

My Story

My name is Danelle Devi Hollenbeck, LMHC and I have over 16 years of working with adults and teens in the USA as a licensed mental health counselor and in the United Kingdom as a registered clinical psychologist. I treat those who are experiencing anxiety, depression, mood disorders, PTSD, and other traumatic events.

My goal is that when you walk into my office or start a video session with me,  you feel at ease and know you have made the right decision. This time is about you.  I offer a non-judgmental space where you can feel vulnerable and break down. There might be crying, possibly laughter, and hopefully a sense of what you are wanting to gain as we go deeper into what brought you here in the first place.

It could be anxiety, some traumatic events you cannot get past, depression, or addiction. Quite possibly it could be you are having marital problems such as infidelity, communication problems, or feel stuck in your marriage that you do not know whether to leave the marriage or stay.

You do not have to navigate these feelings alone. It is my passion and mission in life to help individuals and couples to re-discover who they are and find themselves again. I have worked with many populations with many clients from First Responders, Teachers, Mechanics, CEOs of the big 4 top companies, tv/film stars, owners of multimillion companies, stay-at-home parents, lawyers, engineers, and editors of magazines. I am very multicultural-oriented as well as LGBTQ informed.

I help couples to communicate more effectively, learn each other’s love language, and do exercise building to re-connect. I use CBT, TFCBT, Interpersonal therapy, and EMDR to help individuals in all aspects of their lives whether that be grief, trauma, anxiety, depression or just finding your life’s purpose. I am here to support you along your journey and help you fulfill your life. I have been in your shoes before experiencing PTSD from a car accident and balancing work while being a wife.

I graduated with a Bsc Honors in Counseling from the University of West London and an M.S. in Psychology from Kaplan University. I graduated with a Psy.D in Clinical Psychology from UWL.  Aside from helping people, I am passionate about animal welfare. I used to be the intake coordinator for French Bulldog Rescue Network (FBRN) and for F.R.O.G.S. French bulldog rescue in Florida. When not in the office you can find me on my travels to Europe and the Middle East, volunteering for French Bulldog rescues, enjoying the beach, and cuddling 7-year-old frenchie Mighty Mouse (who is the office therapy dog) and PJ Pie my 1 year old frenchie, who was born one day before my beloved 15 year old frenchie, Piggie Pie, passed away in 2021.

I also specialize in grief counseling of humans and beloved pets.
